Canada’s African & Caribbean Wedding Show (CACW) is coming to Toronto’s Daniels Spectrum, April 1, 2017.
Formerly known as The African Wedding Show, this year’s show is expanding to include Toronto’s Caribbean community.
As the country’s only wedding show catering to Canada’s ethnic communities, the show promises to offer brides to be everything they need; from event planners, to cuisine, décor designers, makeup artists and cinematographers—all in one place.
Advance tickets are currently on sale for $20 and will increase to $35 after March 15.
What to Expect
- 30+ vendors such as The Décor Girl, Unforgivingly Pur and celebrity hairstylist Janet Jackson of JouJou Hair Studio to name a few
- Two runway fashion shows
- Tropical music lounge with refreshments
- Fabulous door prizes
“Including Toronto’s Caribbean community was a natural progression for our event. Our communities have so much in common and mainstream culture is becoming increasingly interested in our culture,” said Laba Menghistab founder and event planner of Canada’s African & Caribbean Wedding Show.
Last year’s show, drew a crowd of 400+ African Canadians and guests walked away with gift bags valued at $150 CDN.
“I started CACW from my own experience of planning my sister’s wedding. Planning a traditional African wedding in Canada came with many challenges. With the African & Caribbean Wedding Show, I hope to make the process a lot easier for future brides to be.”
