Tell me about yourself.
I have to say that I’m a perfectionist, I love to travel and I believe in hard work. I started my journey as an makeup artist in 2012, since then I have worked with a number of celebrities on Black Entertainment Television (BET). 2012 was also the year I decided that I didn’t want to be recognized solely as a makeup artist, but wanted to pursue more. Today I’m thankful, because my dream has become a reality. My cosmetics line is sixty percent complete and I’m working towards one hundred percent completion by the end of 2014. I want Izaalis Cosmetics to be recognized worldwide. I have an amazing team and we are working diligently to expand our product line into Europe.
What makes you a proud St. Martiner?
The variety of languages spoken on the island and the way the different cultures are intertwined.
One thing you wish all St. Martiner women knew:
Get out of your comfort zone. You are beautiful within yourself and it doesn’t have to be validated by anyone.
Favourite St. Martiner saying?
Favourite place to visit in St. Martin and why?
French side off course! lol The entire island is beautiful.
I personally believe ones cultural heritage impacts their outlook on life. How has your heritage as a St. Martiner woman impacted your success and views on life?
As much I want to give credit to my island, my mother has impacted my attitude towards life the most. She taught me how to be strong and not take anything for granted. Most importantly, she taught me about my culture and how to be a successful woman.
